Law Enforcement Torch Run

The Convoy is produced by Special Olympics Nova Scotia in partnership with the Law Enforcement Torch Run (LETR.)  The LETR is the largest public awareness and grassroots fundraising organization for Special Olympics globally and has been an active partner of Special Olympics Canada since 1987. It is run by police officers, RCMP, sheriff’s deputies, support staff, police volunteers, and other law enforcement professionals from around the world and is supported by the Canadian Association of Chiefs of Police (CACP)

The Torch Run™ is the most well-known event LETR hosts. The Torch Run is an event in which officers run the Flame of Hope™ into an Opening Ceremony at local, regional and national competitions. Grown to include a wide range of regional and national events, including the Truck Convoys held throughout North America, the LETR has raised more than $72 million in Canada, since its inception.
