Do you want to help make the World’s Largest Truck Convoy a success? Special Olympics wouldn’t be possible without the help of dedicated volunteers from across the province. We’d love to have you on board. Last year we had over 100 volunteers help make our day a great success.
Here are two of the largest needs for volunteers:
6:00 am – 10:00 am – Registration. Volunteers will greet drivers as they arrive and assist with the registration process. This could include managing sales of merchandise, handling or counting monies or general greetings and directions.
8:00 am – 3:00 pm – BBQ/Outdoor Celebration or Return Celebration. Volunteers in this group will either be assisting with the BBQ (serving/setup/cleanup) or assisting with the Return Celebration activities which could include supervising bouncy castles, running games, serving cotton candy etc). This portion is very weather dependent. If it is a nice day we hope to have a great outdoor fun carnival like event in the parking lot adjacent to the hangar. This group will facilitate selling tickets, assisting at the auction, or manning a booth. If the weather is inclement, we will adjust to facilitate what we can inside the Hangar
