Midland Transport registers 14 trucks in Special Olympics Truck Convoy

One of the participating trucking companies in last year’s World’s Largest Truck Convoy was Midland Transport Dartmouth.

In 2014, they registered 10 trucks, raising over $3,000 dollars. This landed them first place overall for the most pledges submitted.

Why did they get involved?

“It is such a great cause and it reaches out to so many people as many of us have family and friends with special needs,” says Richard Kalbhenn, Terminal Manager.

According to Richard, his favorite moment from last year was watching both the athletes and drivers with huge smiles on their faces blowing their horns and waving.

This year, Midland has already registered 14 trucks, involving more drivers with a goal of raising extra donations.

“What I like about the event is seeing the trucking community coming together and supporting such a great cause,” he says.

Trucker registration is now open! Last year’s event filled up quickly with a waiting list, so don’t delay – register on the convoy website or contact Anne Marie Shannon at (902) 426-2266 ext. 2.

Thanks to Midland Transport Dartmouth for their continued support. We look forward to seeing all the drivers at the convoy!
