When the #convoyns2015 ends its route on September 19, it’s not the end of the day. At noon, upon the drivers return, Charlie A’Court will take the stage. All to celebrate the end of the truckers’ run through Dartmouth and the success of our efforts in raising money for Special Olympics athletes.
“I’m really looking forward to playing this show,” says Charlie A’Court. “This is my first time doing something with Special Olympics, and I’d like to continue playing shows like this in the future with the organization.”
A’Court, a singer-songwriter-guitarist, is an East Coast native – a five time ECMA winner including 2015 Blues Recording of the Year and twice named Music Nova Scotia’s Entertainer of the Year. From blues, to pop, to R&B and soul, A’Court has a variety of musical talent.
For the World’s Largest Truck Convoy in Support of Special Olympics Nova Scotia, @charlieacourt wants to give back to the community through this great cause.
“I hope this is the first step of many,” he says. “I want to do more with [Special Olympics Nova Scotia].”
“Truckers are on the road all the time, and I don’t think many people realize how long they are away from their families,” he continues. “I want to celebrate the trucking community and all that it does – the family that’s there, that we can’t see.”
“Truckers really do have #BigHearts.”
Drivers and their families will be able to see Charlie take the stage around noon on September 19th.
