After a beautiful opening ceremony, the National Special Olympic Games are off to an energetic start!

Team Nova Scotia ‘ reppin’ @Eastcoastlifestlyes decked out in their gear and many early successes in the first day of competition. Nova Scotia’s Special Olympians @Vancouver2014

Not even hurricane #Arthur can keep our Olympians down as they arrive at Vancouver 2104 for the national games July 5, 2014. Smiles all around.

Better yeTeam NS 2014 @vancouver2014t, Nova Scotia gets to do it all over again as we are the host province for the National games  in 2016.

Our Athletes have a busy month as they comeback to participate in @MotionballHalifax July 19th.

Lots to plan for 10 weeks until our #IRT Alex Debogorski pulls into town to lead 150 rigs in our World’s Largest Convoy September 20th in Dartmouth. Summer is a great time to fund raise with the family!

MacLeod Lorway Insurance is Sending 3 Athletes to the Convoy

Today we’re thrilled to confirm that MacLeod Lorway Insurance is the first member of this year’s Draft an Athlete Club – three times over! That’s right, they’ve pitched in $1500 to help our athletes!

The Draft an Athlete Club is a sponsorship level where the sponsor gets to directly help an athlete in the Special Olympics. By donating $500 towards an Athlete Sponsorship, they can guarantee an athlete’s attendance.

By sending three athletes to the convoy, MacLeod Lorway Insurance is making a huge contribution to Special Olympics programs and making a real difference in the lives of our athletes. Athletes like Chase, Evan, and Timothy:
